Boconnoc Estate, nestled in the heart of Cornwall’s picturesque landscape, is the chosen location for a brand new wellness festival that is set to take healthy hedonists on a transformative journey for mind, body, and spirit. Paradhis Festival, pronounced ‘para-dees’ and named after the Cornish word for ‘paradise’, is a place where yoga trance dance, cacao ceremonies, and forest bathing meets world-renowned DJs, drum circles, and global headline artists. Taking place from 5th – 7th July 2024, the inaugural event will welcome globally renowned Californian yoga teacher Shiva Rea, and electronica pioneers Morcheeba.
A place where herds of fallow deer roam, ancient trees grow, and exotic flowers bloom, the serene surroundings of the historic Boconnoc Estate provide the perfect setting for a heady fusion of wellbeing and music. Offering a variety of workshops and activities blending ancient traditions with contemporary practices, this new three-day gathering is designed for free-spirited souls.
The brainchild of Quick Panda Productions, the team behind other sell-out events in Cornwall including The Great Estate and Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival, Paradhis unlocks a new experience in the county where ticket holders can uncover inner happiness through diverse communal wellbeing experiences, healthy food, music and immersion in nature.
Guiding the wellness programme is Shiva Rea, the creator of Prana Vinyasa Yoga and a leading figure in the evolution of contemporary yoga practices which has earned her widespread acclaim for her unique and dynamic approach to yoga and movement meditation. Curating an exceptional lineup of facilitators, ceremonies, activities, and workshops throughout the festival weekend, Shiva Ream will transform Paradhis into a sanctuary for self-discovery to help festival-goers embark on their own transformation journey.
On the music side of things, festival headline act Morcheeba will take to the main stage on Saturday evening with their sultry vocals and innovative approach to blending various musical influences. Having formed in the mid 1990s, Morcheeba achieved mainstream success with album releases like “Big Calm” (1998) and “Fragments of Freedom” (2000), which featured hit singles including “The Sea” and “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day.” Morcheeba will be joined by Afriquoi, Scott Matthews, Hang Massive, and Indian Man across the event.
Festival organisers Ian Whittaker and Ben Hall comment: “Paradhis is a testament to Boconnoc Estate’s commitment to wellness and providing a haven for self-development. We invite attendees to embrace the diverse range of activities and teachings on offer which we hope will create a unique and transformative experience that lingers long after the festival concludes.”
