Jim Davidson OBE is back for his third and final leg of his show ‘Unlocked’ which has proven to create quite a stir this season at the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay. His final date for 2022 will be Friday 9th September at 7.30pm and as anticipated, limited seats are available!

The show, written and developed by Jim, challenges the PC world we now find ourselves in, where society is so preoccupied with trying to avoid offence, it struggles to communicate, and the authorities are so fanatical about political correctness they open themselves up to ridicule. This policing of the English language can be just as oppressive and offensive as any perceived insult. Jim says Enough is enough. Political correctness has gone too far!

Jim Davidson first came to prominence in 1976 when he won TV talent show New Faces. He became a household name hosting family TV show including The Generation Game and Big Break and has topped the bill in many theatres in London’s West End and across the UK

The following evening on Saturday 10th September at 7.30pm, the venue introduces a brand-new show to the region, MeatLoud, which had to postpone an earlier date in the 2022 season because of Covid affecting the cast.

One of Britain’s biggest Meat Loaf tribute acts has vowed ‘the music will live on’ as the band tours nationally after the star’s death. Billed as the UK’s ‘premier’ homage band, lead vocalist Andy Plimmer, on the passing of Meat Loaf back in January this year, told Metro.co.uk: “It’s a very sad day, but it’s also a day to celebrate the music. It was, still is, and will be enjoyed for many years to come”.

Meat Loaf’s iconic Bat Out of Hell trilogy was one of the best-selling albums in history and earned him a Grammy Award. Andy Plimmer, the superfan, set up the tribute act in 2015, now plans to honour his hero with a poignant rendition of Heaven Can Wait at upcoming shows. “It will be strange, and I think I’ll feed off the audience to be honest, as there will be a lot of emotion on show night”, he said. The ballad will now take ‘pride of place’ on the band’s UK tour throughout 2022.

With a rich blend of backing vocals, driving piano, out of this world guitar playing, a rocking rhythm section and the outstanding vocal talents of Sally Rivers and of course MeatLoud himself, Andy, you are promised a night you’ll never forget.?
