There is always a lot to see and do at Easter on the English Riviera, not least at the Babbacombe Theatre, where as well as their 5 star weekly show Fantazy, running mid-week on Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 8.15pm, they have actual West End musical theatre stars gracing the stage, several of the UKs best Tribute Bands and an Easter Pantomime starring TV stars and headlined by pop star Lee Latchford-Evans from Steps, the band that sold 22 million records worldwide and achieved global fame!

Having recently opened the family variety show, Fantazy, is attracting massive interest already, after so many online reviews state in the comments how this production, is “Wow”, “Fabulous”, “Outstanding”, “Hilarious” and is a “Must See show for all the family”. The cast turns fantasy to reality, with side – splitting comedy, mind blowing illusions, powerful vocalists, singing dynamic songs and dreamlike dancers that promise to leave a lasting impression!

Easter weekend has two very differing productions to keep you entertained. Good Friday 29th March Westenders, a stunning show, with fellow Les Miz cast members Jon Osbaldeston and Frances Fry along with the renowned West End Music Director Jae Alexander, expect to hear the greatest songs from the top musicals in the West End of London, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Evita, The Lion King, Mama Mia, West Side Story, to name just a few. With the costume changes to match the numerous songs this production makes for a glamorous and exciting night of song.

Saturday 30th March the incredible Everything Changes bring the hits of Take That & Robbie Williams to the stage in a 2-hour spectacular where everybody will be singing and dancing all night long! Enjoy all  Take That’s greatest hits; Pray, Shine, Greatest Day, These Days, Back for Good, Patience, Never Forget and Everything Changes. From 90s Nostalgia to current records. Fellow anthems Let Me Entertain You, Rock DJ, Millennium, Angels, She’s the One and Candy feature as Robbie Williams takes centre stage.

Thereafter you can enjoy The Bohemians, billed as The World’s most ‘exciting’, Queen Tribute band. The Bohemians take you on a high-energy roller-coaster ride of a concert, featuring the back catalogue of one of the world’s most popular and iconic rock acts of all time, Queen, on Saturday 6th April. Brian May loves them!

Money For Nothing present the Dire Straits Tribute Show on Friday 12th April. The abundant energy and the excellence and musicality of the band, makes Money For Nothing a “must see” for any rock enthusiast or Dire Straits fan. “Make no mistake, they are good, very good” – The Observer.

There is more with, Cloudbusting who present the music of Kate Bush on Saturday 13th April in their show, ‘The Line, The Cross and The Curve’.  Featuring songs from the legendary short film of the same name which Kate Bush released in 1994, this spectacular new show offers audiences a fresh ‘take’ on those tracks that first appeared on ‘The Red Shoes’ album – all delivered with breath-taking vocals from Mandy Watson and superb musicianship from the live band.  Curtain up for these listed shows is 7.30pm.

Finally, but by no means least, the Easter Holiday will end on a high as Lee Latchford-Evans from STEPS – Barney Harwood from CBBC and Blue Peter & Steve Royle from Britain’s Got Talent, join a stunning cast in the Easter Family Pantomime on Sunday 14th April with two performances, one at 1pm and the latter at 5pm.  A spellbinding production tells the story of Belle, who longs for romance and adventure, a bad-mannered Prince who is transformed into a Beast to teach him a lesson and a good Fairy who makes both their dreams come true in Beauty & The Beast. This spectacular pantomime will be brimming with magic and dazzling production numbers as well as the obligatory jokes galore!
