Stewart Copeland releases new album and book to accompany autumn tour

Legendary rock drummer Stewart Copeland is released a new album recently ahead of his spoken word tour this autumn. The limited-edition release, Artifacts from the Vault, will be accompanied by a brand-new authorised biography.

The album and book are available in several exclusive formats – all copies signed, with some including Stewart’s own drum skins and drumsticks.

This release coincides with Stewart’s second run of his acclaimed tour, Have I Said Too Much: The Police, Hollywood, And Other Adventures, which opens in September. Local audiences can see him live at Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay, on Thursday 9th October at 7.30pm.

Stewart said: “I am really happy that this collection of never-before-released music can accompany a unique and very different authorised biography – I hope fans will enjoy its sideways take on my life as much as I enjoyed arguing with the author about all the details he insisted be included!”

As one of the greatest rock drummers of all time, Stewart powered the global success of The Police during the 1970s and 1980s before being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A multi-Grammy winner, he went on to compose soundtracks for major Hollywood movies, as well as operas and classical works. His film credits include Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish and Oliver Stone’s Wall Street and Talk Radio. He has also written books, made films, formed supergroups, and composed music for ballet and symphony orchestras.

Copeland’s tour promises a fascinating insight into his extraordinary life as a performer, musician, entertainer and writer.
