Brand new interactive waterplay is a must for summer 2024 as Shipwreck Island surfaces at Splashdown Quaywest Super-sized water play “Captain Lewey’s Shipwreck Island” is opening this summer with its multiple slides, sprays, and giant tipping bucket; the pirate themed, massive children’s aqua-play will be an absolute blast for families coming to Splashdown Quaywest. Providing fantastic facilities for families with younger children and adding a massive sun terrace to the site – making the UK’s largest all outdoor water park – even bigger, some would say huge!
If this is your first encounter with Splashdown Quaywest, here’s a little reminder of what to expect. Combining fantastic flume rides and some of the English Riviera’s most spectacular views and one of the best beaches around, you’ve just got to go to Splashdown Quaywest, the UK’s largest outdoorwaterpark, it is definitely one for the bucket (and spade) list this summer. A new slide arrived last year, Three Fall, a fantastic head first, 3 lane racer slide which has been a real hit with the visitors.
Tackle the twisting and tumbling mat, ring and body rides that’ll have you hanging onto the edge of your tyre! But dare you experience the heart-stopping plummet that is Devil’s Drop? 65ft of sheer excitement on one of the highest, fastest flume in England!
For those looking to relax, then a dip in the swimming pool and a laze on the sunbeds may be more to your liking – there’s loads more space, so fingers crossed for the sun to come out to play too.
Day tickets are back, by popular request, and a variety of visit durations are available whether it’s to stay and play all day or just for a few hours.
All that flumin’ fun certainly builds up an appetite – you’ll not go hungry here. Enjoy an ice-cold milkshake or ice-cream; a snack from the food shacks or head to the terrace café, Borders, to indulge in a delicious, tasty burger and fries.
Don’t forget that beachside there’s a Costa Coffee store too – Costa Coffee, Goodrington Sands that is open throughout the year and has everything you would expect from a full Costa Coffee store – comfy seating inside, outside tables, for good days and is dog friendly.
With the beauty of Goodrington Sands just a stone’s throw from the door, there’s a load of fun to be had down Goodrington way, whether that’s the flumin’ good kind or cosy coffees, or yummy ice-cream, why not take a wander along soon.
It’s all hands-on deck for Summer 2024!
– IT’S FLUMIN’ GOOD FUN!!!
