TK Maxx presents Southampton Summer Sessions – Train

TK Maxx presents Southampton Summer Sessions rolled into its penultimate night on Saturday 28 June, with Grammy-winning rockers Train delivering a show-stopping headline performance in Guildhall Square, joined by soulful star Matt Hansen.

Highlights included:

  • Matt Hansen kicked things off with raw emotion and serious vocal firepower, grabbing the crowd early with standout tracks like WHERE’D YOU GO? and LET EM GO. Oozing charisma and confidence, he set the tone for the night, and when he tore into a bold cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ Iris, the crowd was all in.

  • Train took to the stage to rapturous applause, kicking off a feel-good, hit-packed set that had the entire crowd on their feet from the first note. Beloved anthems like Drops of Jupiter, Hey, Soul Sister, and Drive By had Guildhall Square ringing with thousands of voices singing along. A real highlight came when Pat brought his 13-year-old son onstage to sing and play guitar with the band for the very first time, complete with a crowd-pleasing version of Hotel California. And just when the emotions were already running high, Marry Me turned into a real-life love story as someone in the crowd got down on one knee and proposed. The proposal clip is available HERE.

Southampton Summer Sessions concludes on Sunday 29 June with Simple Minds and China Crisis.

Don’t miss out on the final night
