TK Maxx presents Southampton Summer Sessions lit up in Guildhall Square on Thursday 26 June, as synth-pop legends The Human League delivered a spellbinding headline performance, joined by special guests Blancmange and Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins.

Highlights included:

Blancmange opened the evening with a blend of electronic and art-pop, captivating early crowds with cult classics like Living on the Ceiling and Feel Me.

Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey followed with a set packed with fan favourites including Hold Me Now, Doctor! Doctor! and You Take Me Up. During the latter he launched a giant red balloon into the crowd, sparking a wave of cheers as the audience bounced it high above their heads. His smooth vocals and charm made for an ideal lead-in to the night’s headliner.

The Human League closed the night in spectacular fashion with a hit-filled set featuring Don’t You Want Me, Mirror Man, Human and (Keep Feeling) Fascination. Backed by dazzling visuals and a live band, they turned Guildhall Square into a giant retro dancefloor, with fans singing along to every word.
