LINE-UP REVEALED FOR JESS GLYNNE

DEBUT CORNWALL CONCERT

DAGNY, LUSAINT, THE MERCIANS AND JOANNA COOKE HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED IN LINE-UP FOR JESS GLYNNE ONE DAY FESTIVAL AT THE WYLDES IN CORNWALL

An all-star line-up has been revealed in the lead up to Jess Glynne’s debut performance at The Wyldes in Cornwall, including pop superpower Dagny, soul-inspired Lusaint, alt-rock band The Mercians and local favourite Joanna Cooke. Jess Glynne’s latest album ‘JESS’ was released earlier this year to instant acclaim, earning her a BRIT-Billion Award and prime time tv performances of her new music. Jess Glynne plus her special guests will be coming to North Cornish venue The Wyldes on Saturday 29 June 2024.

Jess Glynne’s first support Dagny is an irrepressible pop force; her music has been streamed over a billion times, she has been nominated for seven Norwegian Grammys (Spellemannprisen), she has co-written songs for Katy Perry, Ashnikko, and Julie Bergan, and she has collaborated with acts including The Wombats, Steve Aoki, and indie-pop outfit Crystal Fighters. Her debut album ‘Strangers / Lovers’ skyrocketed to success, and was dubbed a ‘thundering synthpop explosion’ by The Guardian, ‘dazzling’ by The Independent and ‘one of 2020’s most assured debuts’ by BBC music. Her latest single ‘Strawberry Dream’ precedes her latest album ‘ELLE’ and promises the same astounding pop sound, and so much more.

With over 60 million streams globally, Manchester-based singer-songwriter Lusaint’s distinctive music has captured hearts since her 2019 breakthrough with its melodic blend of soul, jazz and blues influences. Now, Lusaint appears on TV and at London Fashion Week, collaborates with glamorous brands including Chanel, Dior and Alighieri Jewellery, and is releasing brand new singles including ‘Sweet Tooth’ and ‘Sober’, which have already received staggering streams, and features on BBC Radio One.

Drawing from their roots in Leicester, working-class lads The Mercians craft gritty, transparent, and relatable tracks that delve into real-life situations. Their nostalgic alt-rock sound and infectious stage presence makes their live show a must-see, BBC Introducing explained “They know how to work a crowd, their stage presence is excellent. Everything about them is just really high class”.

Described by Motown legend Martha Reeves as “the baby girl singing the blues”, Joanna Cooke’s contemporary sound blends Soul, Jazz, and Blues & sees her playing festivals and prestigious UK venues. Her recent ‘Kaleidoscope’ EP took Joanna Cooke’s self-composed songs into the UK Soul Music Charts Top 30. With a voice & song-writing talent that transcends genres, Cooke has also seen successes in the international dance music scene, earning ‘Hottest Track of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1’s dance anthems in 2023. 2024 has already seen Joanna’s latest collaboration, ‘All For You’ receiving more Radio 1 airplay & topping Spotify’s UK House Music Playlist, amongst others.
