A FULL DAY OF INDIE, FOLK, AND POP PERFECTION REVEALED FOR JAMES ARTHUR ONE DAY FESTIVAL AT THE WYLDES IN CORNWALL
An incredible line-up including Ted Lasso featured ADMT, hard-grafters and big-dreamers Skinny Living, pop powerhouse NEVE, and local favourite Kezia Warwood has been announced to join James Arthur’s June concert at Cornish outdoor venue, The Wyldes. The date sits in the middle of James Arthur’s Bitter Sweet Love World Tour, which opened to rave reviews for the first half of the tour earlier this year.
ADMT regularly takes over social media with his series of affecting covers recorded in his much-loved hometown of Doncaster, even impressing 50 Cent so much with his cover of ‘Best Friend’ that the king of rap himself reposted it on social media. With his own music ADMT connects directly with fans through the realness and relatability of his lyrics. Touching on everything from mental health to the importance of great friendships and the inevitable mess-ups we make on a fun night out. His singles ‘Best Friend’ and ‘Without You’ have amassed millions of streams so far.
Bringing their glorious indie soul sound to The Wyldes are Skinny Living. The band bring a timeless, gentle beauty and exquisite vocal harmonies to their songs centred on big dreams from small means. The name even refers to their modest upbringings, “Skinny Living is a term that describes the financial reality and lifestyle of the working class. Hard graft on a low income with a lust for life, passion for family and an optimistic attitude about the future”. Garnering over 85 million streams worldwide, Skinny Living are on track to take the world by storm with songs like ‘Why’ and ‘Who Likes’ already setting the tone ahead of the release of their debut album later this year.
Singer-songwriter NEVE joins the line-up for June. Hailing from Holywood in Northern Ireland, NEVE has written songs alongside HRVY and Spice Girl Mel C as well as many more. With influences including early breakout Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Miley Cyrus, NEVE adds a 2024 twist to the classic female pop sound we know and love. Her latest single ‘Midnight’ perfectly combines traditional pop sounds with NEVE’s ethereal vocals. Earlier this year NEVE revealed that she had asked James Arthur personally if she could join him on tour – staying true to his response to the message ‘I’ll see what I can do’, James Arthur has been accompanied by NEVE along the first leg of his UK and Europe tour so far.
Bringing new life to British folk with songs that speak to the heart of human experience, Kezia Warwood will be opening the show in June. Described as Phoebe Bridgers meets Billy Bragg by way of Fiona Apple, Kezia combines the heartfelt roots of folk with bright pop influences. Coming from Cornwall herself, Kezia will bring a touch of the local to this Southwest event. Her captivating live performance will break your heart, mend it again, and leave you longing for more. Kezia released her debut single ‘Sweet Freeloader’ in 2023 to rapturous fan response for its catchy tune and meaningful lyrics.
Surrounded by festoon-lit forest, magical Cornish venue The Wyldes (former home of locally-cherished festival Leopallooza) delivers far beyond the standard offering at a concert venue. The Wyldes offers high value and festival atmosphere for audience members of all ages. With a specially selected line-up for each event, events at The Wyldes provide hours of entertainment, and a charming village of street food vendors and fairly priced bars, plus there’s an afterparty included in the ticket for those who could keep dancing for just a little bit longer. Ticket buyers also have an array of camping areas to choose from, from simple-yet-spacious tent camping and campervan pitches to glamping in boutique bell tents with all the comforts of a hotel and high-end toilet and shower facilities that are world’s apart from the undesirable portaloos of big name festivals.
Non-camping, camping and glamping ticket options are all available now via The Wyldes’ website.
The Wyldes said “The line-up for the James Arthur show in June is absolutely mind-blowing. The perfect combination of classic pop vibes, soulful indie, and some folk roots thrown in for good measure. We’re so excited to welcome ADMT, Skinny Living, and NEVE to The Wyldes for the first time, and to have Kezia Warwood join us back in the field!”
James Arthur and special guests ADMT, Skinny Living, NEVE, and Kezia Warwood will perform live in the Wyldes, Cornwall on June 30, 2024.
