Welcome to House of Marbles, a unique destination in the Southwest where creativity and heritage meet. Founded in 1973 as a small maker of wooden games and marbles, we’ve grown into a much-loved attraction, creating fun and fascinating experiences for all ages.
Open 7 days a week, all year round. Find us just off the A38 between Exeter and Plymouth, on the edge of Dartmoor. We’re only a short drive or bus ride form Torbay, Dawlish, Newton Abbot and the South Hams.
The Emporium

Marble Runs & Museums
Marvel at our interactive marble runs that are unique to our site. ‘Snooki’ is a spectacular wall-sized snooker ball marble run- a standout feature visitors love to see!
Explore our Pottery, Glass, Marble and Games museums to discover the story of our historic site and enjoy a fascinating collection of artefacts from across the ages.
In our courtyard garden, you will find a giant floating marble, giant games and a (regular-sized) children’s climbing frame.
Our Brass Rubbing Trail is an all-year-round interactive exploration hunt. This trail is just £1 including a booklet and crayons which can be kept as a keepsake of your visit.
The Old Pottery Restaurant
Nestled within the historic Old Pottery buildings, our restaurant offers a warm, falvour0filled dining experience. We cater for all dietary preferences, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options across our menus. All our dishes are crafted with the finest locally sourced and seasonal produced for quality and freshness.
Savour hearty breakfasts, fresh salads, and classics like Fish & Chips. Or indulge in a traditional Devonshire afternoon tea with homemade scones and cakes.
As evening falls, the restaurant transforms into The Pottery by Night, where themed and quirky dining experience take centre stage. These sought-after evenings fill quickly, so we recommend booking ahead.

Teign Valley Glass Studio
Open 7 days a week, Teign Valley Glass Studio brings the ancient art of glassmaking to life. Watch skilled artisans transform molten glass into exquisite works, inspired by our local area of Dartmoor, the Southwest coastline and sea.
Explore our gallery of vases, sculptures and bespoke creations, including Memorial Glass – where we craft deeply personal pieces to honour cherished memories.
Join a hands-on workshop (suitable for ages 12+ when accompanied by an adult) and craft your own unique glass creation in our welcoming studio, such as glass birds and baubles.
