Firekind proudly announced their latest single, ‘Ego’ released on January 26th, 2024. This high-energy track epitomises Firekind’s distinctive sound, drawing inspiration from the likes of Fall Out Boy, Def Leppard, Muse, Biffy Clyro, and 30 Seconds To Mars.
Firekind are Jas Morris (Guitar/Vocals), brother Dan Morris (Bass) and D Collings (Drums).
Jas Morris, sharing insight into the song’s essence, reveals: “This song is about overcoming personal challenges & evolving into our best selves. It explores the struggle of never feeling good enough & the necessity to break through those barriers.
This follows on from last months highly successful single ‘One Thing’ (released 8 Dec) which performed outstandingly achieving a growth on the bands Spotify listenership by 3748% in just a month! Additionally airplay was achieved on BBC Introducing and the track garnered some incredible reviews.
With their highly acclaimed debut album ‘What I Have Found Is Already Lost’ – Produced by Alain Johannes (QOTSA/Eleven/Them Crooked Vultures) under their belt, Firekind cannot wait to explode back onto the rock scene with a collection of singles followed by a forthcoming album later in 2024.
Crafted under the masterful production of Josiah Manning (Kris Barras Band/Inglorious), ‘Ego’ exudes an anthemic, fierce and energetic modern sound that encapsulates Firekind’s raw energy. Recorded at Momentum Studios in Plymouth, Devon, UK, and mastered by Grammy Award Winners Stardelta, the single promises a sonic experience.
