Draculin – The latest talented young rock/metal band from Torquay making waves in the Music Scene

Draculin are a young and talented rock/ metal band from Torquay, Devon who have been performing together since early 2023. They attend Torquay Academy and currently are in Years 9/10.  The band consists of Will Candy (Vocals & Lead Guitar), Oliver Attwood (Lead Guitar) Emilee Payne (Vocals, Keyboard & Bass Guitar) and  Bartosz Mitula (Drums).  Last year they reached the final of the Rock Project’s Battle of the Bands final held in Exeter and performed at the prestigious Abbfest concert in Newton Abbot. They write their own compositions but also play their favourite covers from the legends of rock music.

At the end of 2023 they released their first single, Sweet Dreams which is still available on most social media platforms. This year the band has taken to the road with their “Bats Out of Hell” tour which commenced at the Respect Festival, Exeter in June where they entertained a large crowd at the Diversity Stage.

The next stop on the tour is a trip to Llangollen, North Wales to participate at the prestigious International Music Festival where Draculin will be performing on the Globe Stage on Saturday 6th July.

Draculin will then be supporting the Big Noise Chorus at the Princess Theatre, Torquay on Friday, 6th September.  The tour concludes in spectacular fashion when they take to the stage at the Palace Theatre, Paignton on Sunday, 3rd November for their own two hour show of rock music.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Will Candy “ This is a very exciting year for the band with some memorable gigs at some amazing venues. Our own show at the Palace Theatre promises to be something special. If you like rock/metal music, then you should come and see us perform. Tickets are very reasonably priced and can be purchased from the Palace Theatre website.”

Draculin are sponsored by TLH Leisure Resort.
