& The Scorchers have become an institution to live music, rightfully gaining a reputation as one of the best Rock
& Roll bands in the UK. They are not a tribute band but a shinning tribute to some of the best acts & songs in the world. Fronted by “The Duke”, the bands level of musicianship is unrivalled. Their reputation has been built through being a highly energetic live band whose back catalogue is unchallenged by any band, local or national.
The Duke has the perfect charismatic stage presence, along with the some of the most talented musicians to be found anywhere. All of these winning attributes mean they are a seriously tight band that can play anywhere- from the biggest of stages supporting the likes of the legendary Chuck Berry, Ian Dury, Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet and a host of other world class acts, to the local pub. There has never been any partiality, they put in blinding performances regardless of the venue. A band that has the versatility to do this shows that it is all about the music & getting the message across to a crowd of all ages. This is gained through years of experience & has often been the fuel that keeps this giant musical engine running. The repertoire is varied but extensive, the set comprises of classics such as, Pinball Wizard, Brown Sugar, Summer of 69, Life in the Fast Lane, Vertigo, Weather with You, Jumping Jack Flash, So Lonely, Roxanne, Black Dog & many more classic hits spanning over 4 generations.
