Regular theatre goers to Torquay’s, Babbacombe Theatre, will know that their headlining act, Steve Laister has starred in five productions over  the last seven years and whilst it’s his comedy prowess that most audience members recall,  he is also an accomplished vocalist.

Last year to celebrate the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Steve and some of his showbiz friends presented a matinee show that was just pure joy. Singing, laughing and genuine audience participation for over 2 hours and this Easter Saturday, 8th April, Steve is once again presenting a brand-new matinee show, WOW! That’s A Show.

This production is sponsored by Torquay’s Majestic Templestowe Hotel and is a celebratory show in recognition of Steve’s 30th Anniversary at the celebrated hotel. During that time, he has performed over 3000 live shows to nearly 400,000 guests, whilst also winning two National Comedian of The Year Awards, including the coveted Sir Norman Wisdom’s Award For Comedy Excellence.

To celebrate with Steve, Majestic would like you to support his live lunchtime shows at the four theatres in England & Wales. All attendees at the venues,  will be given a voucher offering £15.00 off their next visit to The Majestic Templestowe Hotel up to December 31st 2023. However, for the Babbacombe Theatre performance all audience members will be offered the voucher but alternatively if they are local to the bay, will receive a free CD or DVD of one of Steve’s previous shows.

Supporting Steve in this fun filled afternoon of singing and comedy for older adults, (not suitable for children), will be Welsh singing star Lorna Amy Browne, Comedy Vocalist Phil Doyle, singing sensation Paul Fordham all accompanied by Musical Director, Steve Jones.

Tickets are available for only £15, (£17 when booked online), and are now on sale via the venues box office on 01803 328385 or online at www.babbacombe-theatre.com
