You are invited to join the cast at the Babbacombe Theatre to celebrate the most magical time of the year, where their festive family variety show, ‘The Magic Of Christmas’ will ensure this holiday season, is a MAGICAL, for one and all.

Music, Magic, and Mirth in all its guises is what ‘The Magic Of Christmas’ promises. Mind boggling Illusions, comedic classics, hits of yesteryear and today, interspersed cleverly to deliver a show that has pace and will leave you wanting more.

An enormous hit with the Babbacombe Theatre audiences over several seasons, is TV personality, Phil Lowen. He returns with his comedy impressions, larger than life Pavorotti, hilarious parody from the movie Titanic, and one of the best impressions of Tom Jones you are likely to see. He is joined on stage by other artistes instantly recognisable to Babbacombe Theatre regulars, including comedy Magician Peter Baffles, a master of his craft who will leave you in wonder, as you ponder, “how did he do that?” Additionally, back on the Babbacombe boards is the delightful Claire Waring, a talented actress and singing sensation, the suave vocal star Joe Harris and Sophie Beresford, a rising starlet. You may be familiar too, with their troupe of sassy dancers, Danze Fantazy, who execute wonderfully, the dance routines set by the highly acclaimed choreographer, Lucy O’Neill, set to the musical arrangements of Musical Director, Pete Leonard. And if you have never been to see a show at the Number 1 Theatre in Devon, as rated on TripAdvisor, its all going to be shiny and new- like opening a wonderful gift, you will not want to part from.

Glitz and glamour will come in many guises with the Pop Divas and Celebrated Crooners remembered with songs that span 100 years and ‘Festive Fun’ is promised as we Celebrate Panto Favourites.

Inspirational lighting, costume design, choreography and musical arrangements are without exception the icing on the Christmas cake in The Magic Of Christmas’.  After all, the theatre experience is never just about the performance.

Christmas memories made with family and friends are the defining qualities that the season of goodwill should bring.  Whilst not the traditional family outing, a festive variety show – that’s usually to see a pantomime – this production, will raise your spirits, and the cast of 11 are hopeful your time shared with them is magical, and bursting with Christmas cheer to last throughout the rest of the year.

Attention to detail from the show’s producer/director Colin Matthews ensures the theatre maintains the standard of the highly accredited shows, the venue is renowned for.  His ability to combine both modern and traditional elements guarantee his shows retain their appeal. As Colin embarks on this all-new production, he hopes you will agree this show will be at the top of your Christmas list?
