Theatre’s all-new festive family show, I Love Christmas, promises you’ll enjoy a treasure chest of joyous entertainment and festive frolics, that will bring happiness and good cheer, enough to last you throughout the year!
Comedy will feature throughout; in more than one guise! Enjoy funny stories, pantomime puns and numerous side-splitting sketches. If you like to celebrate the yuletide season with laughter, then this show will not disappoint.
Happy memories will come flooding back as the cast reminisce and share with you some enchanting musical moments with pop classics and seasonal favourites that span the decades featuring hits from Mariah Carey, Shakin’ Stevens, Diana Ross, Rick Astley, Wham, Dua Lipa, LadBaby and Cyndi Lauper.
Regular headliners and Babbacombe favourites make a welcome return, comedian Andy Oakley is joined by ex-Bucks Fizz music maker, Paul Fordham, accomplished musical theatre performer Joe Stone, singing sensation Claire Waring, familiar to many as a local musical theatre star, crooner Joe Harris, who will ‘give you his heart’ in more ways than one, Lucy Samuels and Sophie Beresford are swapping their dance shoes for a microphone, they will undoubtedly ‘levitate’ you, to new heights you never thought possible from a theatre auditorium. Combined their wealth of experience and versatility is undoubtedly what makes them so popular with the venue’s audiences.
Inspirational choreography slickly executed by Danze Fantazy perform the routines set by Lucy O’Neill. As they adorn the stage delivering pacey routines, the dancers are the ‘Christmas Wrapping’, adding the ‘joy’ to the ‘jingle’ that are the musical arrangements created by Musical Director, Pete Leonard.
Stylish lighting, projection, and costume design, intensify the ambience and create the atmosphere for the festivities, ensuring your theatre experience is as colourful and creative as it is entertaining.
Typically, like snowflakes, Christmas memories gather and dance. Make new memories with

Whilst not the traditional family outing – that’s usually to see a pantomime – this production, inclusive of some of your favourite Disney characters, will raise your spirits, which is one of the defining qualities the season of goodwill should bring.
Making the most of these talented artists, Colin Matthews continues to produce and direct the highly accredited shows, the venue is renowned for. His ability to combine both modern and traditional elements guarantee his shows retain their appeal.
